If a Member exercises his or her right of cancellation after making the purchase, the earned Bonus Points will be cancelled.
3.1.2 Membership level, Basis Points and Membership Year
CPH Advantage has 3 different membership levels; CPH Advantage Basic, Plus and Premium. A Member's membership level at a specific point in time depends on the Member's accumulated purchases during the Membership Year.
The earning of Bonus Points depends on the Member's membership level at the time of making the purchase.
The calculation is made on the basis of the following criteria:
Status |
Bonus Points on purchases of DKK 1,000 |
CPH Advantage Basic |
1,000 points |
CPH Advantage Plus |
1,500 points |
CPH Advantage Premium |
2,000 points |
The Member's membership level as a CPH Advantage Basic, Plus or Premium Member depends on the purchase(s) made during the Membership Year.
In case of purchases between DKK 0 - 1,999 during a Membership Year the Member becomes a CPH Advantage Basic Member.
If the Member's purchases exceed DKK 2,000 but is less than DKK 10,000 during a Membership Year, the Member becomes a CPH Advantage Plus Member.
If the Member's purchases exceed DKK 10,000 during a Membership Year, the Member becomes a CPH Advantage Premium Member.
The Member will advance to a higher membership level when the Member's total purchases during the Membership Year exceed the specified threshold amounts.
The Member's membership status is carried forward to the next Membership Year. The Member's status is calculated at the end of each Membership Year on the basis of the purchase(s) made in the preceding Membership Year.
The value of each Bonus Point is DKK 0.015. Depending on the membership level, the Member will receive Basis Points equal to the following:
CPH Advantage Basic: 1.5% of the purchase
CPH Advantage Plus: 2.25% of the purchase
CPH Advantage Premium: 3% of the purchase
3.1.3 Special welcome
As a special welcome it is possible for a new Member to advance to a higher membership level quicker in the month of registration and during the subsequent 2 months. If the Member's total purchase(s) in the month of registration and/or during the subsequent 2 months amount(s) to minimum DKK 500, the Member will advance to membership level CPH Advantage Plus. If the Member's purchase(s) in the same period exceed(s) DKK 2,500, the Member advances to the membership level CPH Advantage Premium. The thus acquired membership level is kept for the first and second Membership Years irrespective of any purchases in the rest of the first and second Membership Years. At the beginning of the third Membership Year the membership level will depend on the second Membership Year.
3.1.4 Campaigns
CPH may offer special opportunities to earn Bonus Points on registration or at any other time during the Membership Year. This type of Bonus Point is called an Extra Point. But CPH is not under any obligation to offer such opportunities. Information in such regard can be found on the Membership Site.
3.2 Bonus Bank
The Member can see the Bonus Points accumulated in the Member's personal account at any time. The Member is also able to see the historical data for the accumulation and use of Bonus Points.
3.3 Use of Bonus Point
Any Bonus Points earned may only be used to purchase products in the Tax-free Shop by registration of the Membership Card, herunder by reservation on CPH eCommerce. The Member must have earned minimum 7,500 Bonus Points in order to use any Bonus Points.
When using the Bonus Points, the Member must use all earned Bonus Points in connection with the purchase. If the Member's earned Bonus Points exceed the value of the purchase, only the value of the purchase will be deducted from the Member's account with the Bonus Bank.
When earned Bonus Points are used, the Member's account with the Bonus Bank will be reduced by the number of points that is the equivalent of the price for the purchase if the full price for the purchase is paid by using Bonus Points. If only a part of the price for the purchase is paid for by Bonus Points, the bonus balance will be reduced by the part of the price for the purchase that is paid for by using Bonus Points and the remaining part of the price for the purchase is paid by other means, for example by Dankort, credit card or in cash.
If the Member wishes to use his or her Bonus Points, such wish must be indicated when ordering products on eCommerce, or when paying at the cash register in the tax-free shops in Copenhagen Airport by registration of the Membership Card.
Some products cannot be paid for by Bonus Points, thereby resulting in payment only being possible by ordinary methods of payment.
If the Tax-free Shop offers several bonus, discount or loyalty concepts, the Tax-free Shop may refuse any combination by the Member of such concepts. The Tax-free Shop may also determine that only CPH Advantage or one of the other concepts can be used to earn Bonus Points/discount on a purchase and/or payment by earned Bonus Points etc.
Payment for products ordered on eCommerce is made when the products are collected from the Tax-free Shop.
If some products cannot be delivered, the order will be reduced accordingly as well as any Bonus Points used if the price for the purchase is less than the value of the Bonus Points used.
If the Member does not collect the pre-ordered products, the order will be cancelled and any Bonus Points used will be returned to the Member's bonus account.
3.4 Payment of bonus balance
The Member may demand that CPH pay out the balance of the earned but not used Bonus Points at nominal value.
If the Member demands payment of the balance of the earned but not used Bonus Points, such demand must be made no later than 4 years after the time of earning, see Clause 3.5.
3.5 Expiry of Bonus Points
Any Bonus Points earned will expire 3 years as from the time of earning. When using Bonus Points, the Bonus Points first earned will automatically be used before any Bonus Points subsequently earned.
The Member's right to use Bonus Points ceases to exist and is forfeited in case of any termination howsoever caused of the membership of CPH Advantage. However, the Member may demand payment of the balance for up to 12 months after the Bonus Points have expired, see Clause 3.4.
